The Loyal Nine Presents: FALL2FREEDOM 8 Days, 5 Cities, 1 Fight End The Patriot Act

Introduction: The Loyal Nine has dedicated itself to uniting the cities of the nation in the fight against civil injustice. September 19th-26th marks an 8 day, 5 city protest we call “FALL2FREEDOM”. Kicking off in Huntington, NY on August 15th 2003, The Loyal Nine has been quickly spreading. FALL2FREEDOM is not only a protest against The Patriot Act, but a demonstration to the nation that The Loyal Nine has encompassed the Northeast.

Statement: September 20th is the first step to freedom, as New Yorkers we have responsibility to our city, a responsibility to protect it from the fascist legislation it is facing, the type of legislation which is not only affecting our own communities, but our nation as a whole. As citizens of this country, defending its ideals, defending the Bill of Rights and the fundamentals of all freedoms undoubtedly falls on the shoulders of ourselves. We the American people can not lose the structure of freedom; we can not give away what so many have died for. No generation has done so before, no generation has turned its back to the constitution, and no generation has ever been so scared as to compromise the most fundamental of all human needs. September 19th

***** Huntington: “Benefit Concert” at the Congregational Church of Huntington, 6pm. The 5$ cover includes free food and music ranging from hardcore bands such as, Fall River and Intothesilence, all the way to political hip hop by Movement in Motion. It will be a great show, bring your friends, dance and have some fun. Your proceeds will make future events such as this more possible and the destruction of the Patriot Act inevitable. ***** NYC: “NYC Loyal Nine Kickoff” at Union Square, 1pm. Bring your friends down to Union Square and make your voices heard. NYC doesn’t want the Patriot Act and will be showing the country that it stands united in protecting the Bill of Rights. All coalitions, affinity groups and individuals are invited to make their voice heard and join together for social change. The differences, which may have divided this city before, mean nothing under the Patriot Act. Ether we all join together, give up are differences, and stand strong defending our Bill of Rights or we let ourselves be divided, giving way defeat. This is not a fight we can or will lose. We are NYC, the capital of the word, and on September 20th we will let freedom ring.

*****Albany: “Albany Loyal Nine Kickoff” at Crossgates Mall, 6pm. The Albany Loyal Nine chapter has been quickly growing, uniting social justice groups throughout upstate New York against the Patriot Act. Come down and make your voice heard with many other New York Residents against the Patriot Act. Bring music, drums, instruments, and anything else you’d like to bring to the event. *****Huntington: “Patriot Act Forum” at the Huntington Public Library, 7pm. Not too sure what the Patriot Act is? Come to the forum and learn from a panel of specialists. Huntington will be presenting a smorgasbord of expert speakers from all sides of the argument. Yes, before you start grinding your teeth together; we’ve even put an invitation out to the US Defense Department. Come down to see how they explain shredding the Bill of Rights, and come down to see us shred them apart. There’s real no argument against the Bill of Rights, so we welcome our opponents to see that first hand. Come, learn, then exercise your freedom. September 26th

*****Huntington: “FALL2FREEDOM; Street Party” between Main Street and Route 110. Last month (August 15th) The Loyal Nine kicked off Huntington in style. Even dealing with the largest blackout in history, which denied many people from getting to the protest (trains got shutdown), It was a huge success. With a large turnout and also a large response by police, it was a sight to be seen. Everyone had a great time, voicing their opinions, drumming or even break dance. September 26th plans to be even bigger and, with no cliché, even better. If you’re from the city come down on the Long Island Railroad, to a different style of protest. We even have shuttle bus once again shuttling people from the Huntington train station. So come one and all.

Shuttles will be picking up protesters from the Trains leaving Penn Station at 5:17, 5:35 and 5:46pm those trains reach Huntington at 6:21, 6:34 and 6:51pm.
